For over sixteen years Marc Mitchell has been crafting his skills
as a music producer and composer, with countless labels and Dj's
wanting a slice of his emotionally charged electronic masterpieces.Under
the production guises of
Sunday Club,Humanmovement and Vantage Point (with Jimmy Van M)
he has honed a sound that is always reconised, respected and epic. There
is not a label within
the progressicve/trance movement that Marc has not graced at some
point in his career, and wasnt long before production credits came
in for TV and film. Marc is an electronic musician for the future
and one of the studio godfathers of the mordern sound.

Diary 014 - 06/12/02
Yo global music dudes,
Just to add to the last input.. An explanation as to all the new tracks.
Human Movement : Fall in to love / Grow in Love / Temple
3 new tunes all with Sophie Moleta featuring on Vocals.. All these tunes &
'Healing' will be released on 'innersense records' between now & summer 03.
We have just received the remix from 'Deepsky' of 'Healing' now completing the
package for its release. 'Grow in Love' will feature on the same release.
Sophie is now managed by Nick Gordon Brown (ex stress / renaissance /ministry
man) , The safest hands to be in. Lets hope now sophie's solo carrier can really
take form.. www.sophiemoleta.com
Sunday Club : A New Machine (quiet swan)
This features the vocals from Pink Floyd. The original "A New Machine"
vocal is from The 'Momentary lapse of reason' CD.. I've wanted to do something
with this since the 1st day I heard it.. & gone past caring about the consequences
of using it.. Stuart is back in next week right through Christmas making another
3 tunes, 1 to be the flip to ' A new machine' & the other 2 the follow up
to it. In Floyds discography, they were quoted "A New Machine": {It
was nice recording in the studio boat with the themes running by.. The only disturbance
was the swans occasionally swimming up to the window for a listen..} Hence 'The
Quiet Swan' All publicity is good publicity..
'Talk like a stranger' is the 'Sunday Club' remix of a new 'Deepsky' tune.
The Boys have had a great summer, remixing the Madonna / bond Theme 'die another
day' & pulling of the best mix on the release.. (something they always accuse
me of doing :), remixing David Bowie & making music to accompany the new 'Matrix'
movie sequel. Check out there Hollywood domination & consistently classy music
@ www.deepsky.co.uk or
hear Deepsky "Healing" remix by clicking here.
Ossia
/ Mitchell : About time
Ian is back in this week for 4 days then playing for us @ the weekend, In jerseys
coolest club 'ice'. We will be making the Flip to 'About time', expect a release
on 'innersense' by Easter 03. & Video diary of the gig by next diary input.
"Cant get it wrong" Vantage Point : Van M / Terra Deva / Richard Schiell
/ Marcy Mitch :)
The 'love like sleep'/ 'cant get it wrong' saga continues with Subliminal reason
for not releasing it as "Its a mix short on 'cant get it wrong" ...!
Well, no problem, here's the definitive mix of "Cant get it wrong"
then. Terra Diva's career has gone from strength to strength.. Most noticeably
"shakedown" reaching no6 in the UK charts. She's guna be so so big
in 03. It's been nice to call back up the lighter of the 2 tunes & give
it a little 'Twist'. I'm happy now weather Subliminal release it or not :).
Innersense : The 1st release will be Human Movements "Healing" main
mix / reprise / Deepsky remix / 'grow in love'. We are hoping to get the first
1000 vinyl copies Before Christmas. It will be available from the site Jan 03.
We are hoping that each month we will launch each release with a small but true
bash @ "ice" nightclub here in Jersey. Its a small club 150 people
max but its vibe is complete Sanctuary.. We will be trying to set up web casts
from the club on the launch nights. More when I get the Teck-no-in-fo-mo-jo:)
Thanks
for all your emails & GB entry's , its nice to know that without saying
a word, after 6 months of being off-line .. There are still many of you checking
in daily.. Thanks for your support. Sorry for the delay in the members section..
It should be up in the next few weeks. The studio now has a new computer.. A
Dual 1.25ghz Mac :) its awesome. Tunes are now taking a week instead of 3 !!!!
it really is amazing.. Also I've got 2 monitors set up now, reason / Absynth
/ FM7 / Kontact / Battery all on screen @ once !! Lovely. I'm now not using
anything outside of the Mac except the DS3 console. I expect that when I get
the 5.1 air system that 95% of what's in the studio will be going !!!! scary...
but I cant wait :) I am whoever still waiting on MOTU to release the OSX version
of Digital Performer.. Expected end of the year.
Diary
013 - 20/11/02 Yo Global Dudes,
Were back.. Sorry for the delay in getting the new site up but this database
stuff has been a slog & a half.. A big supper thanks to webmaster 'Jon'
for all the time he has spent & belief he holds for all that is Sanctuary.
So what's new ?? So much I dont know were to start. As well as the new
look there are now MP3s of all the library audio, there is a global guest book
( fill in the town / country / continent & see your "marc on the world"),
There are the audio parts & samples from some new & some classic tunes
available for you to download to do your own remixes of. And a message board
for you to comment on & post your remixes back up again for personal &
global scrutiny or admiration. To get these privileges & goodies you will
have to become a "MM-member"..this will entitle you to free-bees,
exclusive DJ mixes, rare & previously unreleased MM productions & first
hand info on what's hot & what's not @ Sanctuary Music technology. There
is also for the few a VIP area for in progress work & downloads are available.
If there are any areas on the new site that are not 100% up & running, please
bare with us.. Feel free to email me if you spot any anomalies. Also feel free
to post any personal or technical questions to me via the message board.. "What
is happening with that tune ?" "How did you make that sound on.."
You know the score. To accommodate all of the recent growth & changes I
am proud to announce the launch of our new Label "innersense". Incorporating
multimedia / records / 5.1 DVD-A / Post production & promotions output to
the world from our own Sanctuary music technology center here in little ole
Jersey.
This
is not to say that my tunes will not be on any other labels but "Innersense"
will exist more as a middle man to guarantee the product gets out there... This
year :j (dig @ the majors there) initially there will be only 1000 copies of
each release. We do expect them to "Fly" out but as a member you will
be able to secure copies as there pressed.. & who knows, there's is a ghance
that your remix may find itself on a innersense release in the future !!. All
the remix parts will be in MP3 & reason refill formats. As for the studio...
Well she's cooking as usual.. Take a look at www.dynaudioacoustic.com
I wrote a review on there BM15 speakers which are my main speaker in the studio
(& the best in the world.. really). I'm talking to them about 5.1 &
possible collaboration in the future. By the end of 02 the studio will befully
5.1. This is an arena I have dreamed about for years.. My production is well
known for its 3d feel. For years I have decoded the surround in real time, creating
my own 3 D environment to create in & succeeded in getting this down to
vinyl. To have a true surround environment will enable me to achieve another
goal in the labels purpose. The release of 5.1 DVD-A's.
This
will be the new format for the future.. In ten years time all your music CDs
will be on DVD-A (if not emailed to you). DVD-A prioritizes the Audio rather
then the picture and the full 5.1 experience is yours to have @ home through
any DVD player. Its a little known fact that "Stereo" was invented
by "Disney" for the film "fantasia" back in the 1930s..
Its funny how now history repeats its self &the film industry once more
gives us the musical format for the future. In 2006 I want to be ahead of the
game.. Part of the Future. Not what is happening to the vast majority of electronic
& Dance music, Kidding itself its still 1990 :j. I am (rightly or wrongly)
slightly disillusioned by the industry at the mo. I have little faith in the
industry that has enjoyed the last ten years of commercial stealth & control..
We are focusing the label launch & marketing on the people we believe are
part of the future of Dance / Electronic music..A future that I believe will
see the reemergence of Electronic music rather then the commercial letter box
of the Dance industry. I Hope that with these changes will come greater freedom
of product & allow exscertion's in to more experimental sonic adventure.
With the studio soon to be fully 5.1 it is also very exciting to know that we
could be one of (if not the only) studio available & able to do 5.1 Dance
remixes !!!
The sites is almost finished - theres still things you might find that don't
work (theres still photos to be added and lots more content)
Cheak out all the new tunes that have been done
sinse you were all last here :) Once again, thanks for all your patience...
Let us know what you think !

Yo Global muse dudes, Currently 85% done on the Ossia track , sounding great.
Listen to a "work in progress" snippet by watching the video diary.
We had a great session. Ian was here for 2 weeks. I'm very happy with the sound
we have come out with. Very Bedrock. Its been an intense couple of months, going
straight from viola remix to Bond to ossia.. I'm enjoying a few days of before
getting back to finishing the Ossia tune & the ambient mix of the Bond tune.
Initial responses of scott Bonds tune have been so good that I have had to remove
the audio from the site for the mo. It will be back up next week, when we can
control the speed of this already rolling ball. Human Movements Remix of Deepsky's
view from a stairway should be out by the end of march.
Deepsky's new Album 'in Silico' is awesome & I'm really looking forward
to the Human Movement remix representing them on there first single release
after the launch of the album. They got a brand new site to check out as well
goto www.deepsky.co.uk . There is talk
of some possibly collaborations on there next album., it would be nice to see
Deepsky here in Jersey for July-ish. I will keep you posted.
I've
done 2 interviews for websites this month, the first is at www.progressive-sounds.com
& the second is at www.i-vibes.de. Both
sites & interviews are worth checking out if you are not already aware of
them. Thanks to Simon "Wizard" @ prog sounds & Kevin @ i-vibes
for the ongoing support. It was my little boy Malachi's 4th birthday last week.
He is growing up so quick, but dont worry he is already a "Mac"
user & is asking some good questions about fader automation. He is everything
Karen & I wished for, He's just "doing it". Happy birthday Malachi
!!.This Week I'm finishing of both projects & next week Paul Mack is back
in for another Human Movement session. "Fall in to love" is already
50% there so we should have it finished in 2 weeks. More for you then. Ossia
& Bond Audio up nextweek. Next Input "Fall in to Love" until then...

DIARY 011 - 09/02/02
Yo Global Muse Dudes,
Checking in for the first time in 02. I ended up working on another remix for
platypus over Christmas. My remix of Moogues Viola, is now finished. Platypus
& Moogue unfortunately think it is a bit to far removed from the original
to release, so chances are this will be the only time you will be able to hear
it. If you like what you hear please email me & I will forward on your views
to platypus to encourage them to hopefully find a home for it. If not...'Hey,
You win some you loss some'. Also on the Platypus front, Sunday Clubs remix
of "All because of you" features as the opening track on the new Gatecrasher
CD released this week & is out on Vinyl @ 'Hard to find records' Platypus
100th release!! an honour & limited, so if you want a copy get it now, dont
be emailing me in 3 months time asking if I know were to get a copy from. Added
this month for the first time is a video diary of the last week @ the Sanctuary
studios, check out 'Grovies' of Scott Bonds visits & the newly completed
'web' room @ the sanctuary.
The new redesigned MM site is nearly complete. Is there anything you would like
to see on the site? Let me know. Things to come include, global Map guest book
& mailing list, Message Board, MP3 download library, virtual studio tours,
studio cam & more. We are also trying to sort out a "shop" were
you will be able to buy online exclusive CD's & Vinyl of new, current, past
& rare material. It has always been that the labels that sign my original
work (in 1 form or another) have taken in some cases over a year to get the
tunes out there to the public. I believe that a small run of vinyl's & CD
should be available at the time the tune is completed, before a deal is found
/ this will allow all you avid global muse dudes to get hold of all the original
tunes within a month of completion.
Scott
Bond Finally managed to find the time to get over here & we have just finished
the main mix of his new single . I had the flu for the first 3 days :( &
then Scott shot of to the south of France & the USA before returning last
week to complete the final alterations. I'm totally buzzing that another colour
has been added to the Sanctuary Rainbow & really excited about the Product.
Take a listen HERE. Radio & chill out mixes to follow next week. Once done,
I will hopefully have time to do a couple more days on Human Movements "Fall
in to love" before Ian Ossia comes in on the 11th (looking forward to that
as well). The Club Photo is courtesy of DJ Joel Einhorn taken @ "The Roxy"
taken 2 weeks ago in Prague (Hungry), during a spinning of "All because
of U". Thanks for that M8.
OK Back to Mr. Bond's radio mix....
Next input... Ian Ossia returns , until then...
