welcome...
For over sixteen years Marc Mitchell has been crafting his skills as a music producer and composer, with countless labels and Dj's wanting a slice of his emotionally charged electronic masterpieces.Under the production guises of
Sunday Club,Humanmovement and Vantage Point (with Jimmy Van M) he has honed a sound that is always reconised, respected and epic. There is not a label within
the progressicve/trance movement that Marc has not graced at some point in his career, and wasnt long before production credits came in for TV and film. Marc is an electronic musician for the future and one of the studio godfathers of the mordern sound.

Diary 010 12/12/01

Yo , Global Muse Dudes,
Sunday Club's first project in 3 years has now been completed. Our remix of the Platipus released Classic "All Because of you" will be out in Feb 2002 exclusively on the new 'Best of Platipus Vol. II'. I was going to post some footage of the session but my trusty Laptop has been broken for the last 3 weeks (Hence the delay since my last entry). This remix was also the first time I have used mostly soft synths. Absynth & I are now 1 ;). Check out the rude bass line starting in the break & the later hi string line. Totally Massive sounds reminiscent of the old 'Polymoog' But Digitally & controllably superior. I have owned A LOT of keyboards over the years. At this point I have to say that Absynth Has got to be one of the best sounding synths I have ever heard. Click HERE to listen this remix or goto www.platipus.com for further info. This makes Sunday Club the only band not signed to platypus to have a remix featured on volumes 1 & 2 of the Best of Platipus CD's.

Human Movements remix of deepsky's "View from a stairway" is also complete. Again Feb 2002 is the release date. Me & Paul had the best time doing this mix. When you do remixes you are sometimes presented with "Part's" that are just so shit or that hold no use to you what so ever, this was not the case with Deepsky. This was just an absolute pleasure with parts so brilliant that the hole job felt like as chilled as a week on a Hot beach. Take a listen by clicking HERE. or goto www.kineticrecords.com for more info.

The 1st mix of new Balance DJ "Luis Diaz @ Sanctuary" can be listened to by clicking HERE. Richard & myself are doing a Ambient mix of this tune this week to complete the package. More news on where that's going when we know more. On the flip side of my creative coin, My remix of the Marrillion track "Home" is released on a special Limited CD this Christmas. Under the name "Aspect Of I" this remix revisits the "Tales from the engine room" vibe & is the proper full stop to "The Positive light" Drama. listen to this Hunting ambient monster by clicking HERE, or go to www.marillion.com for further info.

Scott Bond was meant to be in the studio last month but again had to cancel this time not because of gig commitment's but because of the Birth of his baby daughter. Congratulations Dude!. I will let you of !!!. Scott will be in around Jan Feb next year around the same time as the release of the next Gatecrasher CD. "Gatecrasher experience 2002" will be a 3 CD package. CD 2 featuring Sunday Clubs remix of "All because of U" & CD 3 featuring the reprise of Human Movements "Healing". That will make a great start to the year.

Christmas is just about here again, and what a year it's been. Flooded in Feb, out of action till August. And the shinny silver lining on the new Desk. They say that Success is 'the Journey' not 'the destination'....... as much as I live by that,. Next year I would like a little more destination.

I'm Looking forward to chilling over Christmas & spending loads of time with the Family (Karen & Malachi). Shit I just love those dudes so much, with out them the music would just have no reflection.

I will still be working over crimbo (on a different, less stressed Festive mental level ) on another

Human Movement track "Fall in to Love". At special times you do special tunes with special people. The last track I made around Christmas was "Love has come again". look what happened there !!.
Where ever you are, who ever you are. (in the words of Sophie Moleta) "Fall in to love & leave the rest to god".

Happy Christmas
PEACE

Marc Mitchell

Diary 009 18/10/01

Yo Global Muse Dudes,
Another Day another Bass line here in our Fortress hide away on the Island of Jersey. We Had Luis Diaz over from the USA last week. Luis is a newly signed 'Balance' DJ from Miami. Richard & myself are on Production duties for this project which will be released as "Luis Diaz @ Sanctuary". Nice vibe, killer groove. We are finishing the mix this week so expect to hear it here first with in the next 7 days.

I am ahead of schedule at the moment so Paul Mack & Myself (Human Movement) are currently half way through a 'Deepsky' remix for 'Kinetic' in the USA. The tune "View from a stairway" is to be Deepsky's second single on Kinetic & should be out late November. This remix will be finished by the end of this week, again expect to hear it here first within the next 7 days. Sunday Club will be in straight after. I will post a special diary input on our first day. Thanks for all the great responses / emails regarding "Healing". We are all very excited about it here. It's good to know people from all corners of the world feel the same. Thank you. O.K. back to work........ got a remix to finish ;) until then.......

Diary 008 27/9/01

Yo Global Muse dudes,
The new Human Movement single "Healing" is now complete. Take a listen to the "Main Mix" 9 & a half mins of pumping depth, or the "reprise" were the only beat present is the heart. Vocals as usual, from Sophie Moleta. Over the past month as well as working on the HM project I have been working with Jimmy Van M & Richard Schiessl in studio 2. Unfortunately 'You' wont be able to hear that for a while for reasons to exciting to mention but I promise its worth the wait & you will hear it here first. Jimmy brought over top industry Photographer Carlos Amoedo who took loads of shots of us all week. Top guy, top photos.

Recently All of the Sanctuary team (Paul, Ian, Stuart, Jimmy, ) have played in eastern Europe. Playing in Prague, hungry, Czech rep, & Bratislava. 3 weeks ago Stuart King's 2 1/2 hour set was broadcast live from the club on the local FM/Net radio station "Fun FM" as was Paul Mack's set the week before . Unbelievable, listened to Stuart King take the roof off half way round the world live on the laptop. I will post notice of live web broadcasts in future. You can listen to these mixes in the 'Band partners' section. Paul Mack has now been invited to join 'Colin Dail' & 'funk D Void' as residents at the 'Crystal club' in Bratislava, Stuart & Ian Ossia will be returning next month also. "Lucky Brat's" :)

Jimmy Van M has also provided a mix for the band partners section, lucky people. Recorded live at 'space' Ibiza last week end, hit play & lose an hour........too much. It's a very exiting time, lots of things in the pipe line, I can hardly sleep. I will reveal more If & when the concrete has set ;) until then...

Diary 007 24/8/01

Yo Global muse dudes,
Were Back in action. Now 10 days in to the new Human Movement single, which is now "Healing" not "Temple". All spoken vocal by Sophie including a Buddhist mantra to align the chakras, OM Ah Ha Yeem RA BA La. The new deskis sounding great. The touch screens just take the P***, it really is
inspiring with the cinema screen above the desk, just a window to any visual inspiration you require. current viewing favourites other then G-Force graphics include "Power of Ten, Phantom Menace, Last episode of 'Voyager' & next generation 'First Contact' I've been working in the studio 12 hours a day since it's been finished. Stuart King is waiting in the wings to start the 'Sunday Club' new single "The Quite Swan" in 2 weeks time . Both Stuart & Paul now have laptop Apple Macs to take the tune home with them at the end of a day. I now burn a CDROM of the performer file, take it home & continue working. "Love Like Sleep" has now finally been signed to 'Subliminal' in the USA. It's due for release in FEB 02.

The Jimmy Van M Project will now be release under the band name "Vantage Point". Love Like sleep was featured on renaissance 'Desire' CD & Love Like Dub was featured on the 'Bedrock II' CD mixed by Jimmy Van M. The earlier Jimmy Van M @ Sanctuary track has also found it's way on to the Virgin 'Progressive anthems' CD & this years "Space" CD. A rather nice remix was also done of Sanctuary by Brancaccio & Aisher. It's available on the Bedrock CD "Granite" which features 10 unreleased Remixes. Highly Recommended listening. Me & Richard are working on a remix of "Ethos: It's Real" for 'Cream' in studio 2 which is another huge vocal tune. So bloody catchy . Also Terra Deva is coming in at the end of September to record some more original material. Looking forward to getting Digital Performer 3 next week, and for the first time integrated Video track. This will make the studio ready (with a little wiring & a few more speaker) for 5.1 work.

This site is soon to be upgraded to a new design mixing flash & html. As well as a smarter look there will be MP3s of the audio library & a studio cam for you to see the action as it happens. man I'm just buzzing to be back at work, head down till Christmas now, non stop tune-ige. more news as it happens, until then................."

OM Ah Ha Yeem RA BA
Laa" (you'll all be singing it) ;)

Diary 006 - 18/06/01

Yo global Dudes, She's here. Arrived 2.11pm on Friday. I'm now frantically trying to get the studio back together to start 'Human Movements' new single next week. I'm still waiting on my new 'Patch bay' which should be here on Wednesday. The studio is looking great, everyone here is very excited. I have found some new software "G-Force" that I am running through my Lap top & projector. Giving me real time graphics to the music as it is created. If your in to this sort of stuff you can down load it at www.55ware.com. (it's got the edge on itunes graphics). I will soon be back in production & I warn you it's going to be bigger & better then ever before.

The dynamic range & headroom of this desk is so huge that I find it hard to imagine any sonic limitations at all. I have turned the studio around to face another wall. It reminds me now of my studio when it was in Gorey village. There was a lot of good work done there, Jarre, BIR, etc I feel that another run of great tunes is on the horizon. There's certainly no excuse now. I am going to use Richards old Blue G3 for the next couple of tunes until the new dual 733mhz processor machines come out end of July. Ian Ossia was over last week with Joel Einhorn a DJ & Club owner (and all round cool guy) from Prague working in studio 2 with Richard on a track featuring Brad Pitt's vocals from the new "Jack the Ripper" Film due out later in the year. Well spooky. It's nice to know that with the new desk we can now supply up to 11.2 surround formats. Could this be the start of more underground sounds in mainstream Hollywood films? Lets hope so, We're ready for it. Ian & myself also had time to do some more work on "3 moons" which is sounding awesome. This should finally be finished next week.

On another note. I check with great interest my stats for visitors to my web site and have for some time noticed visitors from the USA "Armed Forces" & more recently "Armed Forces Pacific Ocean". If this is you, please get in touch. I am also up for suggestion of which Classic MM tunes or Remixes you would like to see on a limited Double CD due out in October. I am inundated with requests for material that is hard to find in some territories or is just not available anymore. The CD will be numbered and initially will be limited to 1000 signed copies. email me & Let me know which tunes are your favourite. I'm still waiting for confirmation on the release of 'Love Like Sleep' Terra Deva is still crossing the T's & dotting the i's on the Subliminal contract but it look's like they will be releasing it late July. Thanks to all of you out there for bearing with me while the studio has been out of action, What can I say except, In the words of C3PO..... "Here we go again"

Diary 005 - 24/05/01

Yo global dudes, The desk arrives on the 31st of may (1 week from today). We have ripped everything out of the studio, decorating & preparing for it's arrival. "Love Like Dub" gets it's world premier this week released on Bedrock 2 CD & Vinyl. Jimmy Van M has done an amazing job it really does sound awesome. Highly recommended. Also with Jimmy, "Sanctuary" is released on Bedrock 12" next week. The second mix of "Liquid charm" feat Terra Deva is now complete, Both mixes are available for you to listen to in the studio section, enjoy. select Labels will be receiving copies of the mixes next week. "love has come again" has found it's way on to it's second trance nation compilation. Trance nation 2001 is out now and as usual is mixed by Ferry Corston. My family & I have now settled in to our new house. Very Very happy. we also got a new member to the family, a ten week old kitten called "Kitty Naboo" . Richard also has a new addition to his family, Baby "Luka" arrived safe & well on the 5th of may. We have made some big changes to the Sanctuary. We are now focusing 100% on the music production. Eliminating distractions, interruptions & a large chunk of the local Promotion support. Warren le Sueur (Theory in practice /Baked beats) has now moved out of the Sanctuary & on to pastures new to continue his work nearer to home & family. He will be sawly missed. All in all big changes. I cannot help but be filled with hope, confidence & extreme excitement about the future, and the music that will be made from it, 7 days and counting.
Until then.......

Diary 004 - 03/05/01

click meYo global dudes, What a mission. I think we have round our replacement desk. Myself & Paul Mack visited K-Klass's studio in north Wales to test it out. She is a beautiful desk. I am waiting now for the insurance company to finalize the arrangements. The Desk could be in Jersey within 2 weeks. Liquid charm is now finally finished, you can have a listen in the Studio section. Just to let you know that this tune was entirely made in the G3 Lap top. Using "Reason" & "Digital Performer 2.71". Just goes to show what is capable these days on just a lap top & a pair of headphones. nothing else!!. I did find it limiting but at the same time learnt a hell of a lot. the second mix with Richards in studio 2 should be completed in the next few days. The two mixes are going to make a great release for someone???. Stuart King will be testing the tunes out at "The Cross" this weekend in London. Also this weekend Me & the Family are moving house to the north of the island (Trinity) with views of France, Guernsey & Sark. Man I cant wait, Nice and quite. huge garden. perfect for the little man. Next chapter: The
arrival of the desk, until then.......

Diary 003 - 24/4/01

Yo Global dudes, Sweet Joy & bums. finally got the go ahead on the replacement desk. I'm off to UK in the next day or two, checking out the contenders. Started a second mix of liquid charm with Richard in studio 2. Much deeper, tribal dub. I just hope we get it finished quick, because his wife is expecting there 2nd child next week. Also made with Richard, "Love like sleep" had it's world premier last week with the release of the Renaissance "Desire" CD. The more deeper/spooked out dub mix will be appearing on the Bedrock 2 CD released end of may. Mark of the Unicorn have just released Digital Performer 3. The studio will now have a soft ware upgrade as well as a hardware upgrade. I cant wait...

Diary 002 - 26/3/01

Hello Global Dudes, Not much to report. still waiting for my new desk to get sorted. Richard is of to the Miami music conference this week. For all of you that have contacted me in regards to "Love like sleep". Just to let you know that we should have the Deal sorted by the end of the week. at this point in time it looks like it's going to either our good friends @ Renaissance or a new American progressive label, an off shoot from Eric Morrilos "Subliminal". We shall see !!!. Im still working on "Liquid charm" but have not had the environment or time to really get my head in to it. It should be finished within the next 2 weeks. I will obviously put the full version in the studio section when completed. I spoke to sophie Moleta today. she is chilling out & getting strong in Australia writing some amazing stuff (which she sings down the phone to me). The songs I heard this morning blew my away. I cant wait to start the next Human movement stuff. Renaissance are planning to release the next single May / June 2001 so I need to start soon if we are going to make the schedule. I can only hope we get the replacement Desk in time. Can I also say how totally inspiring it is to see so many of you visiting my site from so many different places around the world. Being a recluse & rarely leaving the Island it is great to see just how far my music has reached & that the message & vibe is maintained over distance & nationality. I will soon have a map on the guest book page were you will be able to leave your global location as well as a message. Also for you regular 'die-hards' there will be a chance for you to own some very exclusive compilation CDs that will only be available via this web site. I will write as soon as I know more. Until then..

Diary 001 - 07/3/01

My First diary input & some extreme events to start it off with. It's been a strange couple of weeks really, (as Feb/March always is ). unfortunately the Desk has been written off by a flood we had here at the studios in Jersey. I totally lost the "Choir Invisible" tune, Gutted. And on the last day of Ian Ossia being over here, double gutted. Don't worry we were insured so there is a rightfully large silver lining to this obstacle. My Claim is in progress & I am currently waiting for an engineer to come over to evaluate any salvage value. I have decided on a new console to replace me Uniquely dearest departed X2, (gutted, gutted & more gutted). The Soundtracs DS 3 is looking like the only contender that will fill my requirement's . Im using the opportunity to get a track done purely in the laptop . I'm calling it "Pattern's" but we already agreed on "Liquid charm" when Terra was over here recording vocals some months ago. You can here my progress in the studio section. Using the laptop has had it's restrictions but at the same time , I have felt a freeness from the constraints of the studio & its 4 to the floor normality. 'A change is as good as a rest' My Sony V900 headphones ( not pictured on the buss) are a dream when using "Digital Performer" on the laptop. It takes the piss Knowing you've got the whole studio in a laptop. I will be decorating the studio before we fit the replacement desk, so Keep an eye out for photos & video clips of the refit. Until then...
